Camping with Sophie

This was definitely a new experience. Overall she did really well. She slept okay in her playpen at night except for a little bit of mild wailing once or twice every night but one, for what reason I'll never know. Unusual for her since she typically sleeps very soundly, but luckily it only lasted each night about 5-10 seconds, then stopped. Mom & Dad were in the same cabin with us (had double beds) but they didn't seem too bothered by it, thank goodness. She had a lot of fun there with all the space to run around, three dogs to play with, baby pools to take a dip in, and a playground right next door to Russ and Donna's campsite. That was a big hit. She just loves to eat sand.

There were lots of old trees that had been carved into totem poles. They were pretty impressive! Here is Sophie sitting in one that had a seat carved into it.

Sophie and Stella got LOTS of rides in Beth and Will's bike trailer. HUGE hit with the babies! Even when the bike was laying on the ground but the trailer was open, either Sophie or Stella or both of them would climb in and try to buckle themselves in, and sit there and wait for someone to take off with them in tow. They got themselves a few extra rides this way.
