A few new things of my own

Everyone was so generous and particularly thoughtful in their gifts, I just have to show them off. Here's some that I have photos of at the moment.

I put a few things from Etsy on my list and surprisingly enough, I got them! This beautiful necklace is one of them... (Thank you Mom & Dad!)

Here are a pair of earrings from Etsy, also from Mom & Dad...

And Sara and Mark gave me this sweet chickadee towel that will go perfectly in my chickadee-themed first floor powder room. I had this on my wish list but Sara spotted it on her own and snagged it for me without knowing I wanted it!

And of course, last but not least is my gift from Frank. I wasn't expecting this either but it sure has been a lot of fun!! It's an iPod Classic. So far I've uploaded nearly 300 songs and I've only used 7 of it's 80 GB. I love it!

And this isn't mine obviously, but I took a few pictures of Sophie in a cute new skirt from Aunt Beth & Uncle Will. Get a load of the knee socks!!!

Christmas 07 pics

Wow, I can't believe I'm posting Christmas photos again. I feel like I just did this with last year's! Well anyway, here's some photos of Sophie opening presents at our house on Christmas Eve. After that there are a few of her when we went to Frank's mom & dad's on Christmas Day.
She really got into opening presents for the first time ever this Christmas, which was fun! She tore into them and wanted to open more. Her first present was a Little Einstein's Rocket tub toy. You'll see this in a lot of photos! She carries it all over the house with her.

Oooh, is that a Little Einstein's book? (Beth & Will bought her the movie that it is adapted from!)

Another Einsteins book.

She took opening presents very seriously. Oh look! A Little Einsteins dinnerware set! Boy, Santa knows this little girl very well.

This CandyLand game is really cute and just perfect for her age.

The Word Whammer. Cool spelling device, it reads words that you spell out on it! (I'm especially proud of this one, I found it for SUCH a great deal! I mean, Santa found it... er, made it...)

More Einsteins stuff...

Back to Rocket for a moment.

Ooh, a BIG present from Grandma!

CARS! Better yet... a truckload of them! Woo hoo!

(Between the two gift openings, she now has a total of nearly 60 cars and trucks. I'm going to have to wear my slippers in the dark from now on.)

Rocket never gets too far...

Checking out the books again. (This girl is CrAzY about books!)

A lull in the action.

CHRISTMAS DAY AT GRANDMA & GRANDPA'S

Playing with Maddie.

Sophie adores Maddie and is also quite fond of the Nintendo DS. Here she is watching over Maddie's shoulder as she plays.

Awwwww!

Playing with Grandpa. Good times.

A few new photos

We had a day of snow recently and Sophie wanted to go outside and play in it. (She actually brought me her shoes and said "outside"!) So we bundled her up really well and my mom took her out to play a while. And she didn't want to come back in either!

Sophie's been needing some serious light in her bedroom since, well, forever! Up until now she's only had a small lamp that barely lit one wall. I spotted this online ages ago (walmart.com) and LOVED it! It's been on my online wish list for eons now. But I found it IN the store just a couple days ago when I made a trip to the new WallyWorld SuperCenter. Yay!!!!! I justified it as part Christmas gift to Sophie and I used a gift card for the rest, so I didn't feel TOO guilty about it.... She needed it! And it's just the right size for her room. (Those are real crystals, by the way. Such color!) It's really beautiful and so girlie.

I can't remember now why she was so upset, but I just happened to have my camera in my hand (or what Sophie calls "pictures") and snapped a few of her in her utter distress. I don't think I see any tears... do you?

Having fun with Grandma Sullivan
