Navy Pier Fireworks!
I got the chance to meet a friend from Ravelry on Navy Pier Wednesday night. Deb and two of her friends, all from the east coast, drove to Chicago to spend a couple days this week and she let me know she was going to be in town so we arranged to meet up.
It was a lot of fun hanging out with them, first chatting a while at the Dock Street Cafe on Navy Pier, then stepping outside to watch the fireworks display Navy Pier has every Wed and Sat during the summer. We ended up sitting on wet chairs (it rained off all evening) but it was worth it. I brought Sophie with me who, for the most part, was very well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed the fireworks.
Here's a few of the photos I got from the fireworks display. Next time I hope to be able to bring my tripod and get some better shots, but for having to hold the camera myself (and fireworks are notoriously hard to photograph) I think they turned out really well!
