It's Cold Outside. Again.

So I've been staying inside and kntting. Take a look at my most recent finished project. It's supposed to be a pajama bag and I got the pattern from the Simple Knits book my friend sent me. I think it turned out pretty well!

I did what's called a duplicate stitch over the bag to make the bunny design. The picot edge was rather difficult and I had to do a little research online in order to be able to understand the directions in the book on how to do it! And the drawstring really works! I'm pretty proud of it. :)

Sophie Takes Bunny for a Walk

Today was such a nice day, I decided to take Bunny's cage outside and let her enjoy the breeze. Then Sophie and I joined her out in the sunshine for a while. Here's some photos of Sophie "walking" Bunny on her leash and harness.

Knitterly Things, or As The Addiction Grows

I have a friend that I met through Etsy who lives in France and happens to be, among other things, a total MASTER knitter. The stuff she makes is simply unbelievable. In fact, she's so good, one of her designs made it into my favorite knitting how-to book, Stitch 'n Bitch. (Take a look, it's the Peppermint Twist sweater: http://www.knithappens.com/thebook.shtml

Anyhow, she and I have been swapping goodies for a while now: American candy for European yarn and chocolate. Take a look at the knitterly wonders I got from her this week! Not only did she send yarn (70% silk - ooh lala) but she sent me a fabulous book of "do-able" knitting projects, some circular knitting needles, and more yarn. (Thank you
Becky!!!)

How cool is that?

P.S. Expect to be seeing more knitting projects blogged about in the near future. ;)

Finally, a Nice Day!

We finally got a lovely day of weather on Thursday,
so we decided to take a trip to visit Daddy at the Arboretum.
And of course that means...

a visit to the Children's Garden!

At times, it seemed we had it pretty much to ourselves!
